The Opportunity  

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

As the Senior Manager, Global Market Insights you will be responsible for leading the execution of global market research plan for the business. The Senior Manager will design research, implement field work and derive actionable information and insight into customer needs that result in ADC competitive advantages. You will work in a consultative role with senior management and will be responsible for the assigned business area. Will require successful integration of analysis results that leverage across relevant functions including Business Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, Marketing and Sales. The position requires working with internal constituencies, such as marketing and other analytics teams as well as external agencies. Manage P&L responsibilities for market research.

What You’ll Work On 

Responsible for the development of global market research plan and related budget

Manage team including Market Research Manager, Project Manager and /or Analysts

Build and develop high performance team

Responsible for all core processes for global market research activities including compliance and quality control

Provide input for business development/alliance projects

Provide market data and analysis used in planning process

Coordinate with Business Intelligence function to integrate secondary data into insights and analysis

Manage relationships across functions to ensure optimal outcome for projects

Manage delivery of timely, accurate market research to organization

Manage vendor relationships, setting clear direction
 

*Will work across global time zones

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years of experience working in either analytics, finance, or primary market research

  • 5+ years of experience successfully leading teams

  • Expertise in secondary data analytics and forecasting methods

  • Expertise in data visualization

  • Expertise in quantitative market research methods

  • Familiar with translating data into actionable recommendations to the business

  • Ability to connect the dots across multiple, disparate pieces of data in order to tell a whole picture story

  • Whole brained thinker who combines data with deep empathy and strong storytelling

  • Comfort with ambiguity and experience in organizational design

  • Strong people leadership skills

  • Experience working with interdependent cross-functional and global teams

  • Strategic thinker who approaches challenges with a “possibilities and learning” mindset

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Master’s degree

  • Able to work across global time zones

The base pay for this position is $146,700.00 – $293,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
