Network Administrator

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.

• Perform network management services to ensure desktop and application performance/availability.
• Resolve escalated customer requests and provide engineering or network solutions to ensure successful resolution of system problems.
• Manage and administer network systems and resources for the program's IT infrastructure.
• Perform installation design, procure, and install new cable, equipment, and associated hardware and software to extend and/or enhance existing services.
• Manage network architectures with the objective of maximizing performance and service levels to users.
• Monitor networks, using existing domain-level specific tools, ensuring switch and router health, network performance, and security.
• Perform operational and maintenance activities for all network systems to ensure data integrity and security.
• Evaluate network system performance and make recommendations for improving performance.
• Provide service escalation support to the Service Desk for resolution of incidents.
• Experience with implementing approved security configuration baselines IAW DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).

• Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of overall related experience within a Windows server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
• The ability to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance is required for this position.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT level II (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) or higher is required.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure solution testing and implementation.
• Knowledge of network backups and disaster recovery.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems, and interfacing vendors for product research and problem resolution.
• Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors; experience with Inter-Network Operating systems such as CISCO, Citrix, Global Protect, etc.
• Experience with implementing approved security configuration baselines IAW DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
• Experience in developing and deploying operating system images.
• Experience recommending and implementing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Experience with researching new technologies and recommending technology solutions; interfacing with other technical professionals as required; and ensuring integrity, availability, confidentiality, and security of information systems.

• An active Secret clearance.

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Full time (5 days a week) on-site at Fort Meade, MD. 
• Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
