Educational and Experience Requirement | Associates Degree in a related field. Bachelors degree preferred. Four years administrative experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. |
Nature & Purpose of Position | Serves the Department of Osteopathic Principles and Practices in the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) by supporting departmental leadership to ensure that medical students and faculty participating in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine courses receive resources, support, and information required to manage their curriculum and development. |
Primary Responsibilities | Performs complex administrative assistant duties as directed by the Chair of the Osteopathic Principles Practices Department. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Department and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine courses, including serving as a liaison between participating students and faculty. Prepares, distributes, and tracks educational materials and assignments. Manages education-related correspondence. Assists in coordinating details for course activities from scheduling to evaluations. Collaborates with Educational Affairs office and assists with curricular activities. Manages and maintains the Osteopathic Clinical Skills Training Room, including furniture, equipment, models and general supplies. Effectively communicates resources, policies, and guidelines to staff, faculty, and students. Coordinates the Chair and departmental faculty calendar and appointment schedules for office meetings, committees, and outside activities including travel. Participates in the planning and support of course-related events. Distributes materials for faculty and staff course development. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
