Job Description

SENIOR RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Biology, to join Gene-Wei Li’s lab and provide technical assistance to high-throughput genomics projects and computational analysis. Primary responsibilities will include working with investigators to develop and validate technologies based on massively parallel reporter assays for dissecting gene regulatory networks, assay development for large-scale molecular cloning, and executing data collection and analysis.  Will also provide technical support for bacterial strain construction and cell collection. Other responsibilities may include monthly reports, supporting other researchers with routine protocols, and working on independent projects.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent, exposure to a research lab, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team. Seek a self-motivated and highly organized person who can work independently and demonstrates a commitment to exceeding quality standards and providing exceptional services. PREFERRED: bachelor's degree in biology, biophysics, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related field; AND experience with molecular biology, bacterial genetics, RNA biology, or computational biology.  Job #23974-4
