HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER- CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT has an outstanding opportunity for a CENTRAL PROCESSING MANAGER(Manager of Sterile processing).
WORK SCHEDULE POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The CENTRAL PROCESSING MANAGER will report to the Director of Perioperative Services. Under general supervision, the CPU Manager is responsible for directing the hospital’s Central Processing Unit in providing equipment and sterilized instrumentation to the hospital. The Central Processing Manager will also ensure the department will meet or exceed the JCAHO requirements and that the department be maintained in a cost effective manner. Oversee and manage the activities of Central Processing, its functions, operations and services which include central decontamination and sterile processing of reusable instruments and equipment used throughout the medical center. Establish policies and procedures related to central decontamination and sterilization. Serve as a positive role model to facilitate and improve department performance and activities, demonstrating effective communication skills with peers, leads, staff, department managers and guest, to create an efficient workflow and team atmosphere. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist or Materials Management Program with 5 years experience -OR- Two years experience in a hospital management position Materials Management preferred. Demonstrated management and leadership skills related to the above tasks. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for stated requirements.
