Order#: NY1495006 Production Supervisor This hands-on position is responsible for the direction and management of the hourly Union workforce. Assignment of work, implementation of policies and procedures, and recommendation of improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Position responsibilities: Attaining production goals Maintaining detailed records and constructive inter-departmental communication Maintaining plant cleanliness Supervising employees and ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreement and plant work and safety rules Ensuring complete compliance to the guidelines of the IATF16949 quality program Other duties as assigned Essential skills and experience: 2-5 years leadership experience in manufacturing environment (prefer Bachelor's degree, but will consider comparable education and/or experience) Union experience very desirable Leadership, supervision and discipline Strong interpersonal and communication skills Team player Problem analysis and resolution Ability to manage multiple priorities Quality orientation and attention to detail Mechanical aptitude Computer proficiency
