Job Overview
Sets up and operates Finishing machines to manufacture a part (gear) from raw material.
Key Job Responsibilities
Fill out operator verification sheet.
Verify and document all sizes for each part.
Verify and document micro finishes.
Check for run out prior running the part to .001 or specified on the router.
Check inserts for each part.
Inspect each part ran to finish print.
Have first part inspected by inspection department.
Reject any non-conforming size per one point lesson on reject sheets.
Follow grinding best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma/ GED
4+ years as CNC Lathe operator
Must be able to hold tight tolerances
Performs all of your own set ups on the machine
