together, we can change that! As a Reading Tutor, your crucial role will
impact the lives of many children, offering vital assistance to those
who need extra help reading at their grade level. Immerse yourself in a
local school and support kindergarten through third grade students with
one-on-one or paired guidance to enrich their reading skills. With
training and on-site coaching, you\'ll be equipped to help children
thrive. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year
guarantees a significant impact. Join our AmeriCorps team! We\'re on a
mission to empower children through reading and are actively seeking
tutors for the 2024-25 school year. Unleash your passion - become a

caring adult who\'s focused on helping students build their skills and
confidence. Track student progress and regularly meet with the school\'s
on-site coach. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into
data software. Commit to your own growth as a tutor through coaching,

school events and share your experience with the community to raise

takes everyday people and trains them to be great tutors. Anyone can
become a tutor as long as they have a passion to make a difference - and
meet the following minimum qualifications. By the time they begin their
service, our tutors are: Dependable and have a history of good
attendance. Able to understand and follow instructions. Open to making
improvements based on feedback. Capable of setting a pace and
maintaining a schedule with students. Competent with basic computer
skills (like email and navigating online). Fluent in English for
speaking, reading, and writing. 18 years of age or older with a high
school diploma or equivalent. A citizen, national, or lawful permanent
