Expectations
Personal safety and clear understanding of safety processes and procedures with regards to chemical material movement. Basic understanding of shuttle wagon operations as well as pump/blower operation experience (preferably FIKE systems). Analyze problems or deviations and insure timely corrective actions are taken. The Resin Rail Operator is responsible for receiving/shipping all raw materials transported by rail to Polyplex. The position also requires the unloading of raw materials to the appropriate Resin storage silos. This will require operating the unloading shuttle wagon and will also require operating the unloading equipment for the raw materials (liquid and powder) by way of mechanical pump and blower. This will require basic knowledge of the maintenance of these systems (ex. Cleaning filters for equipment, trouble-shooting shuttle wagon failures). Finally, when not engaged in these operations, it may be necessary to assist other parts of the plant in various roles (Resin, Warehouse) This will not require knowledge specific to these areas but instead additional labor maybe required.
