Position Purpose:
The Treasury Capital Markets team plays a critical role in facilitating transactions within the capital markets on behalf of the company. The position requires a deep understanding of financial instruments, market trends, and regulatory requirements. The primary role is to support Treasury leadership with corporate finance analysis and capital markets execution. Responsibilities include providing analytical support related to capital structure, capital allocation, shareholder returns (e.g., dividends, share repurchases), WACC, financing strategies, financial risk management, investment management, conducting market research, and other corporate finance topics. Responsibilities also include execution of capital markets activities, (e.g., daily investments, issuing CP, issuing term debt, repurchasing stock, derivatives/hedges), cash flow forecasting, and regular Treasury reporting. Activities include working with internal and external (e.g., investment banks, credit rating agencies, fixed income investors) partners to perform market research, benchmarking, financial strategy evaluation, and preparation of BOD presentations. The Manager is expected to utilize relationship management skills with banks and rating agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting with banking partners to continuously look for new products and services streamline the Treasury Function.
- Building Relationships with partners in Finance and outside of Finance to increase their productivity.
- Providing analysis on metrics to look for more opportunities to improve results
- Providing leadership/training for the team of associates working the day to day activities
- Resolving day to day issues with banking partners
- Responsible for appropriate selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development of assigned staff.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Reports to Senior Manager, Treasury
- Direct and indirect reports typically 1 professional
Travel Requirements:
- No travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Several years of work experience in applied corporate finance
- Capital markets experience investing and issuing debt, FX, derivatives/hedges
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage bank/vendor relationships
- Strong technical skills in corporate finance
- Experience and working knowledge of relevant accounting and U.S. and International tax impacts
- MBA in Finance, Masters in Finance, and/or CFA
- SAP Treasury module experience
- Strong understanding of financial markets, securities, and investment banking products
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other financial/data software applications
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
