    HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER - INPATIENT REHABILITATION THERAPY has an outstanding job opportunity for Hospital Assistants.

    WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLE
  • Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hour per week)
  • Day Shift, 8:30am - 5:00pm

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 
  • The individual in this position will assist the physical, occupational, and therapeutic recreation staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care; transportation of patients and supplies; ordering and stocking of supplies; and maintenance/set up of special equipment. Additionally, the person in this role will participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication.
  • This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment with a great team of therapists.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Orders and stocks equipment.
  • Managing and organizing supply areas
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, including but not limited to periodic monitoring, safety inspection, and regular cleaning, maintenance, and set up
  • Assisting clinical staff in miscellaneous tasks including record retrieval, filing, faxing, photocopying, arranging for interpreter services, charge preparation, and compilation; d
  • Direct patient care including ADL’s, exercise, ambulating or positioning as directed by the therapy clinician, and safety support during groups or patient treatment.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
