Must possess a Special Engineer Boiler License.

Two years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of building structures and mechanical equipment.

Must possess a Type I and II Refrigeration Technician Certification approved by the Environmental Protection Agency within six months of the date of appointment

Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.

Job Description:
The Saint Paul Fire Department is looking for a knowledgeable Fire Buildings Repairer to join our team.

Here’s what you can expect to do:
Performs preventive maintenance and repair work of building structures, heating/air conditioning/plumbing systems, equipment, machinery, appliances, furniture and fixtures.
Fabricates equipment parts from raw stock such as special sheet metal ducts, metal frames, racks and shelving, signs, cabinets, tools, equipment boxes, and training equipment.
Performs custodial duties to clean the Maintenance Shop and operates snow blowers, and lawn mowers to maintain facilities.
