    A top-tier venture capital firm with a 50-year legacy of backing iconic founders is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant & Valuations professional to join its high-performance finance team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex fund operations and valuations, partner closely with internal stakeholders, and grow into a leadership role over time.

    What You’ll Do:

    📊 Valuations (ASC 820)

    • Lead quarterly valuations for portfolio companies using accepted VC methodologies
    • Analyze and document legal, financial, and market inputs
    • Present valuation results to internal teams, auditors, and valuation committees

    🧾 Fund Accounting & Operations

    • Support quarterly close, including fund and partner financials
    • Review capital calls, distribution calculations, and investor allocations
    • Manage cash flow, capital planning, and reconciliations
    • Prepare and support annual audits and financial statements
    • Respond to LP requests and ensure reporting excellence
    • Train and mentor junior fund accountants


    What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (CPA preferred but not required)
    • 3+ years in public accounting (VC or PE clients), or in-house fund accounting at a venture/private equity firm
    • In-depth knowledge of ASC 820 and ASC 946
    • Hands-on audit and close process experience
    • Advanced Excel modeling skills
    • Familiarity with systems like Investran, Intacct, or QuickBooks a plus
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with investors and external partners

    • Base Salary: $125–$150k (depending on experience)

With over $500M in assets under management across four active funds—and a fifth fund launching soon—this is a critical hire as the firm prepares for its next phase of growth.</p><p> </p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>This is a hands-on position for a finance professional with strong fund accounting experience who is ready to take on a high-impact role. The role primarily involves reconcilations, month end close, processing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
