Job Summary | Job Summary The Department of Pediatrics is looking for a Genetic Counselor to join our team. This position provides genetic counseling services and supports clinical genetic projects and research efforts within the Department of Pediatrics. Clinical genetic counseling practice areas include but are not limited to medical genetics and pediatric sub-specialty clinics. The Genetic Counselor provides education, risk assessment, counseling, support, and follow-up to individuals and families who have or may have genetic health conditions. This position will help support genetic counseling services and research across multiple pediatric specialties and is housed under the Division of Pediatric Neurology. Minimum Qualifications | Required Current license as a Genetic Counselor in the State of Utah. Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Preferred Licensure to practice in a clinical field. |
