We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and organization of financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting overall business operations. Responsibilities:
• Accurately record and categorize financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts, within the company’s accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure consistent and accurate financial tracking.
• Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including preparing invoices, processing payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, to aid in management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies, and assist with audit preparations by organizing required financial documentation.
• Support payroll activities by tracking employee hours, managing deductions, and assisting in payroll processing.
• Monitor and document business-related expenses to facilitate accurate reporting and budgeting.
• Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Expertise in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting, including the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and audit processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
