Job Description:
Need 3 full time, temporary, seasonal Construction Laborers to work at locations in Renville, Yellow Medicine, and Cottonwood Counties in Minnesota.
From: 07/12/2024 - 12/31/2024
Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered under this job order, but not required.
The employer may require workers to work 40 hours per week but if it requests workers to work additional hours, the worker has the right to work only the 40 hours per week and not the additional hours offered by the employer.
All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Building, repairing, and remodeling of farm (Poultry and Livestock) buildings. Setting slats, installation of feeders and feed lines, and installation of gates. Applying tin sheeting to walls, replacing and installing doors, repairing concrete. Welding duties and cleaning worksite.
Workers may assist supervisors in communicating information regarding work duties and requirements and instructing other workers in and related work activities. Workers may serve as the lead worker in small crews.
Workers will work on their feet in bent, stooped and crouched positions and on ladders up to ten (10) feet in height for long periods of time. Employees must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment with a weight of 75 pounds frequently throughout the workday. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Workers should be physically able to do the work required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month of livestock equipment installation/repair experience required. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. for 75 yds. Post- employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
