Job Description
North Tonawanda. Armstrong Pumps. Pipe Welder. $24 - $29/hour.

Job Summary
Accurately weld pipes for heating & cooling and fire safety systems to specification while following all safety and company guidelines.
Job Duties:
* Perform out-of-position pipe welding using various welding techniques including TIG and MIG.
* Read drawings/wiring diagrams, hand tools, and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
* Use a plasma torch to cut various materials.
* Inspect weld to ensure acceptance of engineering and customer specifications.
* Adhere to all safety processes and procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Keep accurate records of time worked and material used.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Must be eligible to work in the United States.
* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
* 2 years of TIG and MIG welding experience.
* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, assembly, and mechanical drawings.
* Must have strong mechanical skills and experience with basic hand tools and light power tools.
* Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift over 50 lbs, where employee assistance is required.
* Must be able to stand for long periods.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Able to do basic computer tasks.
