The firm is looking for a Tax Senior Manager to join our expanding Private Client Services Washington National Tax (WNT) practice with a focus specifically on Estate and Gift matters. This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing WNT tax practice. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will use your expertise in taxation to provide consulting services to ultra-high net worth, multigenerational families and their private business or investment entities, including individual income tax, charitable planning, trust taxation and estate/gift taxation. You will also help lead and manage our growth and work closely with the field and WNT members.
Candidates must be familiar with the tax consulting process and possess the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions to clients' tax and planning needs. With the firm, you'll have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative approaches to resolve client issues.
Position responsibilities include:
Consulting regarding multiple engagements across different jurisdictions
Consulting with the field and with clients
Developing thought leadership
Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
Keeping lines of communication open
Providing a high-level of internal and external client satisfaction
Anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating problems as they arise
Promoting new ideas and solutions that result in extended services to existing clients
Keeping abreast of changes in case law, statutory changes and regulations
Maintaining competency through continuing education
Providing appropriate and timely performance feedback to those supervised
Mitigating risk
Participating in speaking opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years continuous recent public accounting or law firm experience
Experience working for a Big 4 or large national, regional or local accounting firm
Bachelor's or Master's degree
CPA license or JD required
Preferred qualifications Masters of Taxation or JD
PCS experience with estate and gift issues (personal taxation, trust taxation, estate & gift taxation, and charitable taxation)
Strong technical knowledge of complex PCS issues
Experience in the review of tax returns for wealthy family members and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information and tax laws
Strong research and technical writing skills

Compensation Range: $137,300 - $299,000 |
