Order#: NY1497014 Process Operator Purpose: The Process Operator position is responsible for the manufacture, packaging, and distribution of specialty chemical products. Shift: Must be able to work a 12 hour shift schedule (6PM to 6AM; 4 days on, 4 days off) Pay Rate: Starting at $22.72/hour. Periodic pay increases capping at $32.42 at 24 months Shift Differential: +$1.00 per hour Job Duties: Operation and troubleshooting of chemical process and process equipment Conduct environmental inspections and required emergency response. Follow documented process procedures and training (including applicable food and API regulations) in assigned areas; completes required paperwork properly Computer system entry to include: inventory of packaged material, creation of work orders, spreadsheets for critical process information, and creating labels for samples. Relay pertinent process information to co-workers and supervisor Perform pack out of liquid and solid product and palletization of packages Drive a fork lift Maintain good housekeeping of work areas Support Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems. Must be able to climb ladders, work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear Personal Protective Equipment including SCBA respirator Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or related field preferred Basic computer skills
