Chenango County's Department of Social Services has a openings for Residential Aides Part-time Extra Hire. These are positions at the Preston Manor Home for Adults operated by the Chenango County Department of Social Services. Employees in this class are responsible on an assigned shift for overseeing and caring for residents, transporting and/or accompanying them to appointments and off-site activities, and cleaning and maintaining resident living quarters. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Senior Residential Aide or higher level staff member in accordance with well established policies and procedures. Supervision over the work of others is not normally a responsibility of employees in this class. Does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None Required The Part-time Extra Hire positions are no more than 19 hours per week; and the 2024 starting pay rate is $17.42 per hour. Special Requirements: At time of appointment and continuing throughout appointment, a candidate/incumbent must possess a valid New York State Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the Countys insurance carrier.
