The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, locally know as Local #277 is now hiring workers in the following areas for upcoming projects: * Form and Elevated Concrete * Interior Systems Carpenters * Floor Layers * Cabinet and Millworkers * Exterior Facade Carpenters * Door and Hardware Carpenters * Millwrights * Pile drivers * Sheeting Carpenters * Underwater Divers * Certified Welders * Solar Installers * Windmill Installers * Clean Room Installers * Foremen * Superintendents ** Are you a Problem solver? Disciplined? Thrive on challenges? Have a drive to do your best? Are you physically able to perform the work of the trade? Work is available both in the field and in fabrication shops. The North Atlantic States Carpenters will be holding in-person information sessions for those interested in both Apprenticeship and Journey-level work in Utica on the 1st Monday of each Month at 6:00pm. If that Monday falls on a holiday, it will be held on the 2nd Monday of that month. Join us for an information session on one of the following dates: Monday, June 3, 2024 at 6 pm. Monday, July 1, 2024 at 6 pm. Monday, August 5, 2024 at 6 pm. Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6 pm. The information sessions will be held in the State Office Building at 207 Genesee Street, Utica, NY 13501 in the first floor Conference Room. Please use the Genesee Street entrance. If you are interested in learning more about our APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM: Please go to https://www.nasctf.org/become-an-apprentice/ You do not need to pre-register for the information session or bring anything with you. SESSIONS BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 6 PM. Informational sessions are also provided online. You must email info@nasctf.org to register. If you are an experienced carpenter and are interested in more information to become a JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER: Please text "work" to 315-277-6580. This is your first step for a great opportunity to join the Carpenters Union. We recruit, train, and employ the next generation of skilled carpenters. Apprenticeship Requirements: Be 18 years or older. Have a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Be physically able to work as a carpenter. Have a valid driver's license and/or reliable means of transportation to report for work and school. Reside within the jurisdiction. Must pass a drug test.
