Include: Performing preventive maintenance inspections and servicing on
production machines Troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting
machinery issues Ordering of parts. Ensuring compliance with safety
regulations and company requirements Handling building repair functions,
including HVAC systems Requirements: Strong mechanical and electrical
skills, including low and high voltage up to 480V Ability to read
blueprints and solve problems effectively Knowledge of manufacturing
practices. On call rotating schedule. Excellent communication and
conflict resolution skills Scope: This description establishes the
duties required to effectively perform the duties of the Maintenance
Technician. This is a guideline, and not an all-encompassing
description. Purpose: The purpose of this description is to define the
reporting, authority, duties, activities, organizational, and external
relationships of the Maintenance Technician. Reporting To: Maintenance
Supervisor Position Summary: Responsible for the maintenance and repair
of all company precision equipment and facility. Principal Duties and
Responsibilities: 1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure
that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate
efficiently, and the physical condition of building does not
deteriorate. 2. Orders required parts for replacement and repairs
machines while improving machine operation and speed. 3. Diagnose
mechanical problems, and determine how to correct them, checking
blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. 4. Prepares
and maintains a machine service and repair log including the dates
machines are repaired and serviced as well as parts replaced. 5. Orders
and maintains an inventory of machine parts. Additional Duties,
Responsibilities, and Activities: 1. Other duties as may be necessary to
fulfill the responsibilities of this position. Education/Experience:
Technical college degree in mechanics/electrical/hydraulics preferred.
One to three years of mechanical/ CNC machine repair experience
desirable. Direct Reports: None Work Relationships: Works very closely
with manufacturing supervisors and employees. Has occasional contact
with suppliers. Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in a
manufacturing environment with some chance for personal injury. Work
hours are normally during regular business hours and average at least 40
weekly; overtime may be required. Occasional overnight travel may be
required. Physical Requirements: May need to bend, stoop, and lift to
move and/or repair materials and equipment. Spends prolonged periods of
time walking or sitting. May be required to climb ladders. Some exposure
to noise, electrical shock, equipment movement hazards, dirt and
chemicals/solvents. Excellent vision is critical to this position. May
be required to lift, carry or push up to 100 pounds. Employee

\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in
electronics or electro/mechanical maintenance preferred or a combination
of experience and education equivalent to five years. Experience working
with machines and tools, including repair, and maintenance of control
circuits, PLC\'S, servos and AC/DC motors and drives. Ability to perform
routine maintenance on equipment and to determine when and what kind of
maintenance is required. Self-starter able to work individually or with
