JOB REQUIREMENTS: Avli is looking for a full-time and part-time line
cooks for our Milwaukee location. Summary Avli Restaurants are creative
Greek, where tradition meets contemporary elegance and guests experience
our core philosophies of Philoxenia (hospitality), Kefi (joy), and
Meraki (passion). We welcome you in to live and enjoy life through our
classic and contemporary Greek dishes, lively beverage program, and an
ambiance that reflects life in Greece. Our ideal candidate will have the

hotline Experience cooking seafood and proteins Desire to learn culinary
techniques Maintain high culinary standard from preparation to plating
Daily set and prepare station Job Duties: Set up station according to
restaurant guidelines. Prepare all food items for the daily menu and
specials in a sanitary and timely manner. Follow recipes, portion
controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
Ability to read and interpret abbreviations on food order tickets.
Responsible for the correct food presentation of each plated item.
Restock items as needed throughout shift. Clean and maintain station in
practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. Assist with
the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers,
and all storage areas. May perform other duties as assigned. Job
Schedule: Must be available to work various hours, days, and shifts,
including nights and weekends. Inspect and clean food preparation areas,
such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and
sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and
ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items,
and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct
temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and
roasters. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment
and experience. Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking. Observe and
test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using
methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or
patrons. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or
personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Bake,
roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Wash,
peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for
consumption. Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase
supplies, or procure food from storage. Substitute for or assist other
cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Prepare relishes and hors
d\'oeuvres. Carve and trim meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb
for hot or cold service, or for sandwiches. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of line cook experience preferred. Grill and
