The beautiful, family friendly Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is seeking a Cook l to join their culinary team! This 1000+ room property is connected by pedestrian skybridge to Disney Springs® and offers luxury suites and amenities for magical vacations!
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional Line Cook experience, experience supporting high-volume operations, possess strong food safety knowledge, knife skills, and an understanding of cooking temperatures. A current ServSafe certification and hotel background are a plus, but not required.
Shift Pattern: Candidates must have open availability to work morning and evening shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This is a union position.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Line Cook l, you would be responsible for preparing hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest
- Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items ideal cooking, in preparation of all menu items
- Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality
- Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health department regulations
- Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production
- Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
