Job Title: Bookkeeper
Wages: $20.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (16 hours per week)
Benefits: Paid Vacation after one year of employment
First Lutheran Church is offering a part time church bookkeeper position. This position is a full charge bookkeeper. A full charge bookkeeper is a finance professional responsible for managing all aspects of the First Lutheran Church financial records, including accounts payable, payroll, and generating financial statements. In other words, they are to manage all of the church's accounting needs.
About First Lutheran Church: We are a 400+ member Christian church located at 2808 South Ave West, Missoula MT 59808 (just across from Community Hospital). Our mission is to worship together, grow together, work together and together serve God and one another in Christian love, to gather around Word and Sacrament for spiritual nourishment and to take seriously Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience
a. High School diploma
b. GED equivalent
c. Minimum two years of full charge bookkeeping experience
2. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
a. Must have the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
b. Must be able to work with a variety of people.
c. Must have the ability to maintain professionalism
d. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in computer skills and using current word processing programs and accounting software (i.e. Quick books).
