Lancaster. Try-It Distributing Inc. WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE. FT or PT. 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift. $19/hr. to start. Benefits A Warehouse Associate position works in all areas of warehousing, specifically receiving loads, replenishing pick line, inventory counting, product order selection, coupling and relocating of trailers, and loading and unloading of product. Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation): Employee, after proper training, must be proficient at operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks. Safe and careful handling of product to minimize breakage. Safely and efficiently operate all assigned equipment. Ensuring proper rotation of product and maintaining the integrity of the automated Warehouse Management System. Receiving, storing, and shipping of product according to company and supplier standards. Accurately and efficiently select orders for delivery. Constructing pallets of various products that may weigh between 30-50 lbs. There are duties the incumbent must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees conduct that demonstrates the high degree of value the Company places on its employees, customers, and business partners. Participate and cooperate fully in any assigned training, development, and/or group activities that management may choose to assign. Other warehouse duties may be assigned. Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma and one to two years related warehousing and forklift experience and/or training recommended. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and be able to learn and use assigned company equipment. Other Qualifications: Must have excellent communication and people skills in order to be able to respond to any situation. Understanding of product code dating system. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Steady lifting and motion required for 10+ hours, ability to lift up to 165 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
