Job Description

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time assistant women’s soccer coach. The assistant coach will work in coordination with the head coach in the operation of a NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Program; maintain a thorough knowledge of, and abide by all NCAA, G-MAC and institutional rules and regulations.  Failure to do so may lead to suspension or possible termination; attend all NCAA Compliance meetings as offered by the department; complete the NCAA DII University Modules annually.  

 

A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred.  The candidate must possess knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations including recruiting, eligibility and certification; public relations and promotional skills; candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public; strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills; ability to protect confidential information and present a professional demeanor; team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible, and the ability to work under occasional pressure; and ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population. Preference given to candidates with two or more years of coaching experience at the collegiate level. 

 

This job requires travel with athletic team to competitions and events.  A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel.  Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position.
