Lexington Center for Recovery is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our Rockland houses. Excellent Opportunity to join and grow with a great Organization! Direct Support Professionals are energetic, creative and motivated people who wish to make a difference in someones life. Prior experience working with people with a substance use disorder is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for Male and Female DSP's to work various weekdays, weekends, early mornings and overnight shifts. Responsibilities: Assist and mentor clients in their recovery process. Search all client bags at admission and follows all intake procedures. Assists in supervision of clients while completing hourly rounds to ensure safety and well-being. Ensures compliance to daily schedule. Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues to supervisor. Documents all behavioral issues in the client chart. Build positive relationships with clients and staff. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff and clients. Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provide the necessary intervention. Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed. Communicates effectively with client and interdisciplinary team regarding client needs. Assists with chart documentation and compliance. Adheres to all program policies and procedures while ensuring client safety at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work flexible work hours. CPR certification. Pass state background check. Comfortable working independently and can consistently make good judgments that benefit the client. Flexible, with a keen ability to handle stress well. Friendly disposition with a positive "can do" Attitude. Experience tracking and recording information.
