SUMMARY:
Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with Gosnold?s maintenance procedures as assigned by the supervisor. This position ensures that the physical condition of the building is maintained according to Gosnold?s operating & safety standards. The Maintenance Technician must have the ability to identify maintenance problems requiring the attention of professional electricians, plumbers, engineers, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiarity with the maintenance services available in the community so as to readily obtain competent & economical services.
Maintain all machinery, equipment, utilities, etc. in proper functioning order.
Report all major maintenance problems to the Maintenance Supervisor & make recommendations toward their solution.
Assist in all tasks related to the maintenance of Gosnold vehicles, property, equipment, facilities & grounds of the various Gosnold programs.
Ability to work & maintain boundaries in settings populated by substance abuse & mental health patients.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, & SKILLS REQUIRED:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, &/or abilities required to perform the job.
Education: High School Diploma.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities management or related field, including prior personnel supervision.
Skills: Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, & related skills so as to perform minor maintenance repairs in various Gosnold programs.
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations: Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
