Our busy Landscape team have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Landscape Architect with Landscape Planning experience to join their team, working on a broad range of prestigious landscape projects across the country. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively within the Landscape team, including senior colleagues and technical and design specialists in Birmingham, London, Bristol and Reading and across the business. As a result, you will benefit from the expertise of a range of skilled and experienced practitioners and develop as a well-rounded professional.
About you
This is a unique opportunity for you to develop your career, working on and contributing to a wide range of projects varying in scale and sector, including prestigious urban regeneration, new town settlements, tall buildings, strategic, residential/mixed use, infrastructure, solar and energy projects at various stages through the planning process. Your responsibilities will include Landscape and Townscape Planning input to inform design, reporting on landscape/townscape and visual impact and providing strategic and detailed design advice.
You will ideally have experience in the following areas:
- Preliminary landscape and visual appraisals to inform the development process (assessing landscape and visual opportunities and constraints of site and project brief, through desk-based research, site visits, planning authority and stakeholder consultations as required) and advice to project team and / or client.
- Baseline landscape and visual text for promotional Vision documents
- Landscape and visual impact assessments
- Conceptual and strategic design sketches as appropriate
- Townscape and visual impact assessments and tall building assessments
- LVIA/TVIA chapters for inclusion in Environmental Statements
- Strategic assessments of designations such as Green Belts and Strategic Gaps
- Landscape Capacity Studies and character assessments
- Representations to Local plans
