In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Implement "right sized" project management processes that best fit the needs of the project and align with organization project methodology standards. Create project management artifacts as appropriate for large strategic projects of high complexity or small programs (example: project master schedule, communication plan, resource plan, toll gate presentations, risk and issue registers) and represent project at governance meetings along with project sponsors and core team members.
  • Build effective relationships and quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders and project team members. May provide mentoring to less tenured members of the team.
  • Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, and work with team members to oversee all phases of project completion. Manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost and quality. Monitor project spend and validate financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. As needed, manage cross project dependencies with other project managers. Partner with Project Sponsor and Core Team Members to ensure realization/sustainment of project benefits (e.g. revenue, productivity)
  • Ensure project results have an articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit. Holds self accountable for overall project success and consistently seeks opportunities to exceed project goals. Delivery of a quality business outcome is key.
  • Other duties as assigned

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prefer minimum ten years of work experience with a preference for a minimum of five years project management experience leading software development projects

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Project management certification
  • Proven experience leading project teams and peers through ambiguity, frequent change and effective decision making
  • Proven effective communication (written and verbal) across all levels in an organization
