Job Description

 
FT or PT, Collection Associate, Olean, NY PT hours: 25/week or less. FT hours 40/week Some flexibility with work hours depending on day of week and hours of operation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. To make telephone contact with consumer (in and outbound calls). 2. Negotiate repayment terms according to client and company specifications. 3. Document accounts. 4. Adhere to federal/state regulations and company policies and procedures. 5. Any other duties deemed necessary to finalize the debt/repayment terms. 6. Regular work attendance. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A description of the work experience and educational background that a candidate should have when applying for position. High School Diploma or GED. Collection experience preferred but not required. FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS FUNCTIONAL Required functional skills (skills need to complete the functions of job; i.e. project methodology, presentation experience, etc.) Comprehensive and working knowledge of collections is preferred. Excellent communications skills, a strong work ethic and a commitment to succeed. Effective negotiation skills. Use of basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, and calculating percentages.) Technical Required technical skills (typing, computer skills, etc.) Basic computer skills required. Able to have knowledge and usage of a calculator. Subject to drug screening, reference check and criminal background check.
