The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, assisting with financial research, maintaining internal controls, providing administrative support, and collaborating with financial resources/vendors as needed. The ideal candidate for this role should have possess great day-to-day accounting abilities in compliance with legal industry standards and firm policies. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, and can maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the overall financial health of the firm.


    Everyday Responsibilities

    ·      Support daily accounting functions

    ·      Prepare monthly accounts receivable statements

    ·      Reconcile and monitor collection accounts

    ·      Assist with Sales and Use Tax filings

    ·      Manage time and billing data, including attorney billable hours

    ·      Reconcile bank accounts/financial statements/tax returns

    ·      Maintain daily cash transactions/receipts

    ·      Document asset, liability, revenue expenses

    ·      Prepare financial reports for management and partners as needed

    The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.


    Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:

    ·      Proficient knowledge of accounting software

    ·      Proven GAAP knowledge
