Amentum is seeking a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to provide support to NSWCDD B40 / B60 Divisions. You will perform systems engineering to support development, acquisition and evolutions to field advanced  concepts on Navy and/or Marine Corps Radar Systems.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute sensor data collection, exploitation, fusion, modeling and concept exploration. 
  • Will perform radar system engineering, design, analysis, or radar software development on one or more of the following systems: Dual Band Radar (DBR), Ground Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR), AN/SPY-1, AN/SPY-6, Enhanced Coherent Data Collection System (ECDCS) or other sensor systems. 
  • Will perform detailed and complex calculations and apply knowledge of engineering practices / principles necessary to assess advanced sensor / radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

Required one or more of the following - 

  • (a) A Bachelor’s degree  from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; plus Ten (10) years of professional engineering experience

or

  • (b) A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Ten (10) years of professional engineering experience

or

  • (c) A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Eight (8) years of professional engineering experience

or

  • (d) A Ph.D degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Five (5) years of professional engineering experience
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing engineering evolutions related to Navy/Joint warfighting systems
  • Experience utilizing  MATLAB to perform calculations and data analysis
