Job Description

QUALITY AND SAFETY COORDINATOR, MIT Health-Quality and Safety Team, to be responsible for supporting ongoing needs related to MIT Health’s Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Program and associated MIT Health team members.  Will identify, manage, and coordinate cross-functional process improvement activities related to known safety vulnerabilities and priorities, be responsible for reporting and analytics for the department, support the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care, and provide support for activities performed by the chief and associate chief of clinical quality and patient safety and the Quality and Safety team.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years of patient safety, clinical quality, process improvement, or related work experience in a healthcare environment; knowledge of safety reporting systems; ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; interest in and ability to work with data sets to display results according to goals; ability to clearly explain and follow standardized processes accurately and consistently; and ability to work with minimal oversight and cohesively within a team.  Job #24001-6
