Hourly pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00 Depending on Experience

Schedule: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Need to be available for overtime and on weekends as needed 
 

Location Information

 

  • Located on the Tennessee River, the Decatur River Port features 212,500 sq. ft. of warehouse space. This Alabama facility primarily handles bulk and breakbulk commodities and is rail-served by Norfolk Southern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment required in this position.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Regularly communicate via 2-way radio with Supervisors, Team Members and customers.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow written Dual verification procedures on all material movements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

   

Qualifications

 

  • High school education or general education (GED)
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1 or more year(s) related experience preferred but not required
  • Applicant must pass the General SOP testing, and Heavy Equipment function test along with Team Member demonstration checklist.
  • Must be able to pass and or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to work the scheduled shifts required for the position and/ or overtime as needed.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
