POSITION: Maintenance Technician.
DUTIES: This entry-level position is a member of a team that oversees the
maintenance and repair of all buildings, facilities, grounds, and parks.
Assist in fabricating and constructing park and facilities repairs which may
include park shelters, picnic tables, park signs, parking areas, small
buildings, remodeling, facilities, painting, and other similar
projects. Assist in facility and office repairs and maintenance requests which
may include moving of office furniture, furniture assembly or repair,
lightbulb & smoke alarm battery replacement. Seasonal snow removal from
facility sidewalks. Operates a variety of heavy and light equipment including
mowers, chainsaws, tractors, backhoes, and trash compactors, small
snowplows. Other routine preventative servicing to ensure equipment and
facilities maintain good working order. Other small ‘handyman'
construction and maintenance projects as they arise. Any additional duties as
required. Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance & more than 50lbs with

REQUIREMENTS: Must have one year of experience in a directly related field.
Strong general knowledge of basic electrical wiring, plumbing, masonry,
carpentry, welding, small engine, and vehicle mechanics. Experience in
landscaping practices including lawn, tree, and shrub care. Knowledge of
swimming pool mechanics and preventative maintenance. Basic HVAC knowledge.
