EHS Project Manager

Our client, a well-established nutraceutical company specializing in the manufacturing of vitamins and nutritional supplements, is seeking a highly motivated EHS Project Manager to lead EHS programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing programs.

Location: Happy Valley, OR
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for industrial hygiene exposure assessments and control programs for occupational exposures, including noise, respirable dust, enzyme exposure, and ergonomics.
  • Oversee contractor prequalification, onboarding, training, and inspection processes. 
  • Administer and manage the site’s permit-to-work program, including lock-out/tag-out, line break, confined space entry, and more.
  • Drive and oversee hazard communication programs related to raw materials and chemicals used on site.
  • Lead and manage the machine guarding program to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits, including air emissions, waste management, spill prevention & control, groundwater protection, and stormwater management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the EHS space to enhance employee engagement, improve safety controls, and streamline safety and environmental programs for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing EHS programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with EHS compliance audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel are a plus.
