We are seeking a passionate and qualified Physical Education and Health Teacher to join our academic community in Wibaux, Mt.. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and challenging physical education and health programs for both high school and possibly junior high students. There are also coaching jobs available.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive physical education program that aligns with state and district standards.
- Develop health education curriculum that covers a range of topics such as nutrition, mental health, and sexual health.
- Create lesson plans that meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and technologies.
- Provide students with feedback and evaluate their progress in physical education and health.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and grades.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and performance.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and fosters social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in Physical Education and Health Education or willing to work towards getting this certificate.
- Experience teaching physical education and health education to high school and/or junior high students.
- Knowledge of state and district standards for physical education and health education.
- Familiarity with various instructional technologies and strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and promoting healthy habits and lifestyles.
Wibaux County HIgh School has approximately 60 students grades 7-12. The average class size is around 13 students. Our district has a 4 day work week.
