Accounting Manager
Corporate Office - Willow Park, TX
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, creating, implementing,
managing, and controlling all Accounting Department activities of the Company. This includes direct
responsibility for accounting and finance. This position requires strong experience of Net Suites
accounting information system. Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) Defense Finance
Accounting Service (DFAS) and other customer portal delivery systems.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
• Support invoicing (Labor and ODC charges), construct invoices, validate labor and ODCs, as
well as Subcontractor Labor and ODCs and submit to customers for payments.
• Maintain Accounting Files in Oracle Net Suites.
• Update, validate and provide monthly Aged Receivables Report, as well as Quarterly and Annual
Balance Statement and Profit & Loss Statements.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiate corrective actions;
minimize the impact of variances to ensure compliance with guidelines and requirements of
Defense Contract Auditing Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency
(DCMA).
• Understand, follow, and implement accounting policies or practices to comply with Generally
Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal, State, Federal Acquisition Regulations
(FAR), and DCAA/DCMA rules and regulations.
• Identify and communicate financial errors or discrepancies as determined. Support audit
request(s) with regulatory agencies and prepare any required items. Prepare periodic closeout
invoices in a timely manner. Support corporate annual budgeting and financial preparation
through trial balance conveyance.
• Accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic
financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a
comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of
the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.
• Report financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances;
developing improvements.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields:
Accounting, Business or Finance.
• Seven (7) or more years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge in formal DOD
accounting processes, policies, procedures, and regulations. Preference will be given to
candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant
designations.
• Strong working knowledge of Net Suites accounting information systems.
Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt (non-hourly)
Salary: $80,000.00
