A little about the position:
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the service writer is a liaison between the customer and service technician.

Information about the location you’ll be working at:
Here in Anchorage, we have a large showroom floor, with an Alaskan feel.

Some of the duties of this position:

Daily interaction with customers
Open work orders and document description of symptoms in sufficient detail to provide technician with information necessary to efficiently perform service work
Verify warranty contract coverage and explaining provisions and exclusions as necessary
Updating the customer on the status of their work order
Work directly with Service Manager to schedule and assign work orders as necessary
Facilitate parts ordering & delivery to keep technicians on the wrench
Researching and recommending correct parts/equipment for a given job
Assisting customer with purchase of small equipment
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills for success:
· High school diploma or GED (preferred).
· Have great communication and time management skills.

Our job requirements:
· Able to work 40+ hrs per week.
· Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

A little about the physical requirements:
The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The daily duties of this position are not physically demanding however, the position does require sitting, standing, walking, use of fingers and hands, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting.
