Meeting Street is currently looking for a Parents as Teachers and Teen Parent Initiative Program Manager.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a national, evidence-based, family visiting program that provides free and voluntary support to families. This program helps builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn. PAT serves expecting families with children prenatal to age 5 in the New Bedford area.

The Teen Parent Initiative serves pregnant and parenting young adults (male and female) 14 to 25 years old in New Bedford in multiple settings, such as high schools, community service agencies, institutions of higher education or in the participant's home. Our team helps young parents decide how to get from where they are to where they want to go by connecting parents to key community resources.
Duties:
Oversee the implementation, and daily operations of the Teen Parent Initiative and Parents as Teachers programs.
Develop and update program guidelines, ensuring they align with best practices and community needs.
Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness; recommend improvements as necessary.
Supervise program staff, providing leadership, training, and professional development.
Conduct regular staff meetings.
Conduct regular staff supervision to assess program progress and address challenges.
Ensure that staff are trained to work effectively with parents and children from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds, creating a safe and supportive environment for all families.
Lead outreach efforts to recruit parents and families into the programs, building relationships with schools, community organizations, and local agencies.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately to meet program goals.
Participate in community events, meetings, and professional networks to stay informed of trends and best practices in      parenting support.
Collect and analyze data to assess program impact and outcomes.
Provide data-driven recommendations for program improvements and strategic planning.
Perform all Community Health Worker and/or Parent Educator duties when necessary and coverage is needed.
Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher in Human Services, education, social work, or related field
Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
3+ yrs experience in public/community health, human services, social work, outreach, advocacy, or connecting underserved populations to resources  
Experience managing or supervising community-based programming focused on teens and young adults.
Experience mentoring and/or coaching employees
Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certifications
Valid driver's license and ability to provide own transportation to appointments
