Must have professional experience reading blueprints/shop drawings to be considered for this position.

Proficiencies

• Hand tools – skills to ensure products are welded correctly and on-time.
• First-piece inspection
• Blueprint reading.
• Clamps
• Tape measures.
• Grinders

Forklift and/or tack welding experience are not required but are pluses.

Requirements

• Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Weld components. 
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisor.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
