2024 [Quantum Advocate] Quantum Workforce & Community Intern

Job Description:

The development and deployment of quantum education and workforce initiatives to support the future quantum industry.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Come build the future of quantum with us through developing new education programs and scalable workforce programs. Today's IBM Quantum's full-stack hardware, software and its tools are powerful enough to start showing evidence of utility for quantum computing. As a Workforce & Community intern with IBM Quantum, your job will be to help build exciting new curriculum, educational content, and scalable programs to help teach our partners, clients and the broader community how to start using quantum computers to its full potential.

Period:2024/07/01 - 2024/12/31

Time:9:00~17:36 (default)

Reduced working hours can be negotiated:

Place: IBM Japan, Headquarters

Daily Salary:

9,700yen (for master's)」/10,900yen (for doctoral students)」(in case housing allowance is unnecessary)

15,700yen (for master's)」/16,900yen (for doctoral students)」(including housing allowance)

Commuting cost will be paid.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

*Experience with the Python programming language

*Formal education or informal exposure to quantum computing fundamentals *including quantum information, computation, or algorithms

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

*Use of (or exposure to) the Qiskit quantum computing framework

*Participation in the Qiskit Advocates Program

*Certification as an IBM Quantum Developer (Quantum Computation using Qiskit)

*Experience in community building, through formal work or volunteer programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates currently enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate programs are encouraged to apply. IBM Quantum interns in [Japan] will work remotely or out of the IBM office in [Tokyo, Japan]. Candidates will have an opportunity to discuss specific timing, and academic calendars as part of the application process.
