Job Description

• The Senior Project Automation Specialist provides technical configuration and office support for engineering design technology in conjunction with the office Automation Manager
• The technical specialist provides any end user project support, project configuration, or special project modifications required.
• Provide technical configuration for project and/or office support for Fluor’s MasterPlant™ technology in conjunction with the office Automation Manager
• Employ effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• May manage the department as well as develop and manage the office’s Project Automation Specialists (PAS)
• Work with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze any technical implementation or configuration issues for engineering design systems
• Analyze and evaluate technology support and implementation requirements
• Provide routine end user office support, project setup and configuration or special project modifications required for the automation technology utilized
• Assist Information Technology (IT) in evaluating technology impact to Fluor infrastructure and systems
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to thirteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience
• Twelve (12) years of experience in project, Information Technology or Automation
• Basic knowledge of Information Technology in:
o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools
o Infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), telecommunications, etc.)
o Electronic security and governance
o Electronic communications
o Network operations and support
o Software development, implementation, and support
• Knowledge of Automation technology and systems integration including:
o Good knowledge of the Fluor MasterPlant™ solutions
o Good knowledge of the tool integration capabilities and discipline integration needs
o Good knowledge of the automation technologies
• Vendor certification in Automation/Information Technology/Information Management technologies the position supports (when available)
• BIM Manager / CAD coordinator experience with 3+ years’ experience in AutoDesk Navisworks Manage and Simulate, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, BIM 360 and Revit, MicroStation and clash management
• Lead the development, implementation, and management of BIM protocols and standards across projects.
• Oversee and manage the BIM process from project inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate model development.
• High level of aptitude in:
o MS Excel and Word
o MicroStation V8 or Connect Edition
o Programming (VBA or C# or VB.net)
o PowerShell and automation scripting
o Windows CMD
• Individual to meet the following personal qualifications:
o Detail-oriented.
o Ability to organize work and maintain a high level of productivity.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
o Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, needed for coordination and application troubleshooting with users, vendors, contractors, work-share offices and design firms.

Salary Range

118,500 to 213,500

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
