Job Description
Manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to final completion and closeout within assigned LOGCAP base operations AOR. Develop, maintain and coordinate project schedules, budgets and resource plans and activities of departments within the Construction group to ensure that services are provided on a timely basis. Evaluates and assesses the construction support requirements of the company as well as develops and provides the types and levels of expertise and services required to support construction operations. Prepare and submit progress reports to management, clients, and other stakeholders. Investigates technical and construction-related problems to determine their cause and recommends appropriate resolution. Provides technical and construction assistance and support to projects. Performs constructability reviews and analyze construction programs to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Interprets code, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance with these statues during construction. Performs inspections and audits of construction activities to determine conformance with specified requirements. Analyzes the construction program and recommends the appropriate types of construction equipment including equipment for special processes. Provides instruction and training for special processes and procedures. Provides support/assistance and technical direction to project teams and subcontractors. Develops procedures and programs for providing technical support. Communicates with company and project management as well as designers and client representatives in the establishment and implementation of constructability programs. Contribute to proposal development and client presentations related to construction services. Evaluates the effectiveness of project constructability programs. Trains, schedules, and supervises subordinate construction employees. Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring timely and quality performance. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and resolve potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations, including those of the host country. Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and community stakeholders. Develop and implement training programs for construction personnel on safety procedures, best practices, and new technologies. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

Basic Job Requirements
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. This position is located in Somalia, a project worksite with challenging and demanding working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level to effectively communicate and perform assigned job functions.
Position requires the physical and mental stamina to withstand challenging working conditions and perform the essential functions of the job.
Other Job Requirements
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Nine (9) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a strong preference for experience on US Government Contingency Contracts such as LOGCAP, AFCAP, GCS-MAC, CN>, and DTRA-CTRC.
• Proven experience in Base Camp Construction and Development, Construction of Expeditionary Housing Facilities, Runway Construction and Repair, and the construction of Force Protection Measures (e.g., T-Walls, Jersey Barriers, Overhead Protection, Bunkers, Perimeter Walls, Tactical Operating Facilities, Warehouse Facilities).
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
