The Construction Manager/Planner oversees and manages and supports specific aspects of their project with other supporting Fluor site-level team members in Safety, Finance and Operations. The Construction Manager/Planner will heavily support the field operation and oversight ensuring that subcontractors are completing their scheduled work activities on-time, are following all safety and quality procedures, installing per work or drawing packages that are specified by Fluor or Design Engineers, ensuring code compliance and quality expectations. Coordinating with Owner Technical Resources for logistical support, system LOTO support, other area vender/subcontractors to ensure the area is safe to work in. They will conduct daily huddle briefings with Owner and Contractor to ensure alignment for all work activities that need completed for that day and upcoming work. They will ensure that installation practices meet quality expectations, that quality documentation is completed and turned into the project team for construction turnover.
The Construction Manager/Planner will support the Sr. Construction Manager in attending Project Support Meetings to calibrate on cost estimates, development and input into designs on current/future projects, development and input into schedules for current/future projects.
The Construction Manager will also assist in Project Closeout Packages, Ensuring Proper Turnover of Systems and readiness of systems for release for start-up. Developing punch list items for completion. Document all scope changes on a change order prior to the work being performed and communicating this back to Project Team members. Participate in closing debrief with Client & Trade Partners if requested. Support and promote the sites Safety Culture, Quality Culture and Innovation Culture. Monitor the work in the field. Make frequent daily walks in the field to review, monitor, and evaluate progress, performance, quality and compliance with the site safety rules, specific requirements, and procedures. Maintain a good set of project files and keep all documentation stored with-in the sites established document control process. Adhere to site security policies. Adhere to site standards and policies.
Need to be able to work with updated technology systems including laptops, tablets, email communication, software systems that support schedule, cost and safety management.

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
Job related and strong technical knowledge or background necessary to complete the job in one or more of the following construction industry categories.
• Industrial Electrical Systems Knowledge (600v and Less) in manufacturing and process plants. Including but not limited to: Medium and Low Voltage, Network Data, Fiberoptics Equipment and Panel Controls, Fire Alarm & Security Systems, Etc.
• Industrial Mechanical Systems and Knowledge in manufacturing and process plants. Including but not limited to: Setting Large Packing Equipment, Tanks, Conveyors, Crane and Rigging Operations, Minor Structural Steel Setting/Modifications. Manual Rigging Operations, Packing Line Equipment Change Outs, etc.
• Manufacturing and Facility Maintenance. Including but not limited to: Pump and motor changes, office remodels, heat trace install/repairs, dock door equipment repairs, roof repairs, manufacturing plant major utilities troubleshooting and repairs, tank lining, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• Job related and strong technical knowledge or background necessary to complete the job in one or more of the following construction industry categories.
•Industrial/Commercial Electrical Systems Knowledge (600v and less) in manufacturing and processing plants. Including but not limited to: Medium and Low Voltage, Heat Trace and Devices, Network Data, Fiberoptics Equipment and Panel Controls, Fire Alarm & Security Systems, etc.
•Industrial Mechanical Systems and Knowledge in manufacturing and processing plants. Including but not limited to: Setting Large Packing Line Equipment and Conveyors, Pump and Motor Changes, installing new Tanks, Understanding of Crane and Rigging Operations, Minor Structural Steel Setting and Modifications.
•Manufacturing and Facility Maintenance and Capital Projects. Including but not limited to: Office, Bathroom Upgrades/Remodels, Parking Lot or Facility Upgrades, Heat Trace Troubleshooting and Repair, Dock Door Equipment Repairs, Roof Repairs or Replacements, Concrete Repairs or Replacement, Off-Hours/Emergency Responses.
Salary Range
76,000 to 130,000
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
