Job Description

A Construction Support Specialist III plans and performs work requiring sound engineering judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of assignments. Applies diversified knowledge of construction and technical principles, practices, and methods for a range of assignments. May implement and execute construction support activities on small to mid-size projects worldwide. On intermediate size projects the Construction Support Specialist III may function as the “lead” for construction support activities. This position has developed a working knowledge in one or more specific construction disciplines.
• Develop methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation and trouble shooting of special construction discipline work processes
• Support projects that are located in the office and in the field
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of assignments and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to, coworkers, management, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

• Must be able to provide proof of US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical ability and experience to provide material and equipment take-offs, participate in identification and control field change requests (FCR)
• Considerable experience constructing complex mechanical systems including major equipment, HDPE and stainless piping systems
• Experience with civil work including final grading and excavations including buried pipe and duct banks
• Commercial construction experience for pre-engineered metal building constructions
• NQA-1 experience preferred
• Experience using Navisworks 3D model applications
• Possess problem solving, organizational, and conflict re solution skills
• Through understanding of construction operations and support functions
• Ability to collaborate and adapt to changing conditions
• Capable of performing constructability assignments in the office(s) and/or at the site
• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations

Salary Range

84,000 to 146,000

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
