Job Description

***This position is contingent upon contract award***
The Automotive Worker performs maintenance and repair on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment in support of facility operations. This includes troubleshooting malfunctions, inspecting and servicing mechanical systems, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable safety, environmental, and manufacturer guidelines. This position supports mission-critical operations in a secure government facility and may require working in all weather conditions and irregular hours.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on cars, light trucks, vans, and equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, etc.)
• Maintain service records and ensure proper documentation in accordance with maintenance control procedures
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic test equipment, and electronic systems
• Adhere to facility, federal, and local safety and environmental guidelines
• Perform road tests and quality assurance checks on completed work
• May assist with snow removal equipment maintenance and emergency vehicle support
• Report issues to supervisor and provide input on parts and materials procurement
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or equivalent military/MRO background
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or may be required depending on site needs)
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
Other Job Requirements
• Must have an active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and work in physically demanding environments
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as mission needs dictate
Preferred Qualifications
• Local candidates preferred.
• ASE certifications or vocational technical training
• Experience with government or military fleet vehicles
• Prior experience working on diesel engines or utility vehicles
• Familiarity with GSA fleet management systems
Salary Range
45,000 to 82,000
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
