Job Description

The purpose of this position is to manage and direct security for a client or Fluor site. This position is accountable for providing security management and oversight in accordance with the client requirements or jurisdiction. This role is responsible to create, execute, and monitor project security policies and procedures to safeguard property, plant, equipment, security information, intellectual property, and personnel.
• Manage, review, audit, conduct surveys, and develop recommendations concerning security training, security awareness, office and project security, airport security, vehicular movement and route selection, and threat assessments in overseas location as required
• Manage investigations and ensure employee security
• Serve as principal point of contact to client for personnel and facility security matters
• Process employee security access requests with client
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

• Proof of US Citizenship is required
• Create, execute, and monitor project security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive unclassified information.
• Conduct assessments and develop recommendations concerning OPSEC, access and route selection and threat assessments for the project facility.
• Implement security procedures and measures for the protection of sensitive unclassified information and project assets within PPAs.
• Assist with access control measures for personnel entering PPAs.
• Assist in investigations.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable Department of Energy Order requirements and National Nuclear Security Administration directives and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent plus eight (8) years Security experience
• Three (3) years of management experience preferred
• Prior military and/or contingency operations experience preferred
• Knowledgeable of current security vulnerabilities and threats
• Able to effectively communicate with staff and management

Salary Range

92,500 to 162,500

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
